PEL-AMID 893, an oleic diethanolamide, is oil soluble and water dispersible with a low HLB. As such, it may be used to form water in oil emulsions or blended with higher HLB surfactants to form oil in water emulsions. In addition, PELAMID 893 exhibits rust inhibition characteristics and thus is suitable for use in synthetic metalworking fluids.
