PEL-LUBE 486-C is a lubricity additive for water-based metalworking fluids which gives extreme pressure lubricity without the use of phosphorus, sulfur, chlorine or fatty acid compounds. PEL-LUBE 486-C is stable under a variety of conditions, including very hard water, and does not foam. It should be neutralized 50:50 with MEA, DEA or TEA prior to formulating. PEL-LUBE 486-C is not a formulated product and it should be formulated with corrosion inhibitors and other additives to achieve optimum performance for various applications. It is soluble in propylene glycol, isopropanol and alkanolamines and it is insoluble in hydrocarbons.
