PEL-LUBE 510 is a blend of a water soluble polyalkylene glycol (PAG) and an extreme pressure lubricant (EP) with hydrotrope properties. At the temperatures generated by cutting metal, the PAG’s solubility is reduced and it forms a thin film on the metal part. At the same time, the EP lube serves to protect the metal by reacting with the surface, generating plate-like structures that lubricate in a fashion similar to graphite.
