PEL-SIL 1348 silicone glycol additive improves the performance of brown stock pulp defoamers used in the Kraft pulping process. It may be used in compliance with 21CFR176.210 to manufacture paper and paperboard for indirect food contact. PEL-SIL 1348 enhances the dispersion of formulated defoamers and it also defoams at temperatures above its cloud point. In addition, it increases water drainage from pulp mats by reducing entrained air. It is compatible with organic defoamers.
