PEL-SIL CL330 is a silicone-based additive consisting of a siloxane backbone and polyethylene-oxide (EO) side chains. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. The EO component gives PEL-SIL CL330 coatings additive its compatibility with water-borne systems. PEL-SIL CL330 has excellent wetting and recoatability. It can be used at low dosage levels. PEL-SIL CL330 can be recommended for use as a leveling and wetting agent in waterborne paints and coatings in automotive, transportation, construction and aerospace industries. It can also be used in solvent-based and high solid/UV curable coatings as leveling agent. For polyurethane foam coatings, PEL-SIL CL330 acts a surfactant and foam cell stabilizer. It is not compatible on the isocyanate side and must be added with the polyol. It exhibits excellent compatibility with most polyol premixes.
