PEL-WET L-77 is a trisiloxane based super-wetter. It reduces the surface tension of aqueous solutions significantly below what can be obtained with conventional nonionic wetting agents or dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate. Even at concentrations as low as 0.01 percent, PEL-WET L-77 will reduce surface tension below 23 dynes/cm and at 0.1%, the surface tension is less than 21 dynes/cm. It produces very rapid wetting and spreading on hard-to-wet surfaces such as waxy leaves. PEL-WET L-77 allows complete coverage with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and other agricultural chemicals. It is a low molecular weight nonionic silicone polyether surfactant, intended to improve the wetting, spreading and penetration of agricultural chemicals. It may be used as an ingredient in pesticide products, or as a tank-mix adjuvant for foliar applied chemicals. PEL-WET L-77 meets the requirements of US EPA regulation 40 CFR 180.910 regarding “tolerances and exemption from tolerances for pesticide chemicals in or on raw agricultural commodities.” It is approved for both food and nonfood use.
